🎯 Cross Guide
The cross is the first step of CFOP. Your goal is to solve 4 white edge pieces on the bottom layer, aligned with their center colors. A good cross should take 8 moves or less.
💡 Cross Tips
- Plan ahead: Inspect the scramble and plan your entire cross before starting
- Color neutral: Consider starting on any color, not just white
- Efficiency: Look for edges that can be solved together
- Practice: Aim for sub-3 second crosses consistently

F2L is about solving corner-edge pairs together. There are 41 cases, but learning them intuitively is better than memorizing algorithms. Focus on understanding how pieces move!
💡 F2L Tips
- Find the pair: Locate both the corner and edge that belong together
- Hide and seek: "Hide" one piece, bring the other, then pair them
- Don't break cross: Use U moves to position pieces without disturbing solved cross
- Lookahead: While solving one pair, search for the next
